In the middle of a poignant story from BRIAN’s past as a Social Worker, he suddenly broke into a song he had written for his estranged daughter Chloe. Something in his eyes changed as the words spilled, one over the other, “Hereafter rush along without sadness. Love beaming your gladness, uplifting your fears however painful and hurtful…”. It was only after the final line about ‘gaining your laughter’ that he shared how the words were his response to learning that his daughter had been sexually abused.
